Today, Matatiele Local Municipality hosted an Intergovernmental Relations (IGR) Meeting at Maggie Tsiu-Resha Conference Rooms 1 & 2.
Cllr Mzwamandla Nyembezi welcomed all attendees and emphasized the importance of the session for government departments and stakeholders. He highlighted that this is an election year and encouraged all stakeholders to mobilize young people to register to vote and actively participate in democratic processes.
He further noted the significance of the Fibre Connectivity Programme, which will assist students and community members by providing easier access to the internet and digital resources.
The meeting aimed to strengthen collaboration between government departments and the Municipality to ensure effective service delivery and improved coordination in addressing community needs.
Stakeholders engaged constructively on the reports presented, with discussions focused on promoting accountability, strengthening good governance, and enhancing service delivery for the benefit of all residents.
