Matatiele Matric Awards 2025

Matatiele Local Municipality, in partnership with the Matatiele Maluti CMC Education Department, successfully hosted the Matatiele NSC Matric Awards Ceremony for the Class of 2025.

The ceremony, held at the Civic Centre Maluti, celebrated and honoured the academic excellence and outstanding achievements of matriculants in the National Senior Certificate examinations. The event recognized exceptional performance and served to inspire continued dedication to academic success and future educational endeavours.

Speaking during the ceremony, Hon Mayor Cllr Motlalepula Stuurman applauded the Department of Education for the commendable progress made in improving the performance of schools across Matatiele. The Mayor highlighted with pride that one of the learners who represented the district at the provincial awards level is from Maluti High School, which falls under this jurisdiction.

The Mayor further noted that while there remains room for improvement, the achievements reflect the tremendous commitment and hard work demonstrated by educators and learners alike. Credit, he emphasised, must be given where it is due, as the dedication of teachers continues to produce meaningful and encouraging results for the municipality.
